The maneuvers we practiced were S-turns across a road and turns around a point. Jay assessed by flying abilities and I helped him to be able to give me instruction that I can understand.
Met my roommate Leigh this morning and he is from Chicago. We had Marco the mechanic spend 1.5 hours going over the systems in the planes they were working on in the hanger. This is a weak area for me and I will eventually figure it out. Tony could explain it all and never study or open a book. Then there is me........I appreciated the practice today especially with fuel injected engines.
Fixed some lunch and then observed Leigh during his lesson. They have G1000's in the planes (glass cockpits) so I learned a lot. Observing Leigh helped me to review what I did this morning and see the area from above without having to fly the plane. Also gave me time to take some pics. =)
We finished up at 5 today and I ran around the hangers a bit to get some exercise. Jay and Leigh rode in the golf cart. I preferred the jog. =)
Studied for 3 hours and prepared the lesson I will be teaching Sat on the first day of our class. Leigh will also teach a part since we will both be here all week and are getting an early start.
I enjoyed watching the lightning dance off the Rocky Mountains this evening.
