Bob my examiner called before I went out with Ross to fly the Cutlas. He just wanted to get an update on how I was progressing. Flew with Ross in the wind and the bumps. We stayed in the pattern to practice my landings. He was so pleased with how I did. When we walked in I looked at the weather report and we used Runway 33 which tells us I had a crosswind from the right that was pretty stiff, but it was also changing around. Highest winds I have ever flown in and my instructor never touched the controls. =)
Got back from dinner and decided to go back and get the bike that was left at the terminal this morning. It was getting dark and my night currency needed to be renewed before I head back east. So I went up in the nice calm air and did some landings to a full stop. I got 2 landings at night coming out here and needed another one. Tony may come out to fly back with me since a friend offered us her airline miles. Everything is pretty uncertain right now. Many of you are asking when I will be home. I do not know. Soon I hope! Wanted to be current in case Tony does come and we will be heading east and into the dark rather than chasing the sunset like my trip out west.
A jet pulled out during the afternoon while I was studying in my room. Pretty sweet and I would love to fly one someday.
